Cuyahoga Land Bank Seeks Projects for FY24-25 State of Ohio Brownfield and Demo Programs

In July, the State of Ohio passed its FY24-25 budget which re-appropriated funding for both the Brownfield Remediation and Demolition & Site Revitalization programs. The Cuyahoga Land Bank is Cuyahoga County’s “Lead Entity” for both programs but may submit projects on behalf of sub-recipients. Both programs will be administered by the Ohio Department of Development (ODOD).

ODOD has not released any program descriptions, guidelines, or timelines but we anticipate that the programs will be similar to the FY22-23 versions. The Land Bank will share information as it becomes available. We strongly encourage all potential sub-recipients to review the prior programs’ information available on the ODOD website:

FY22-23 Brownfield Program

The Cuyahoga Land Bank is working to ensure that these valuable resources are successfully deployed countywide. We will begin collecting potential project information through an online portal. The portal is based on FY22-23 program guidelines so additional information may be required in the future. Submission in the Cuyahoga County portal does not guarantee that a project will receive funding.

The Cuyahoga County Portal will open at 9 a.m. on Friday, September 29 and will be available on the Cuyahoga Land Bank’s website at HERE.

Once again, ODOD has not released any program descriptions, guidelines, or timelines which mean there are many unknowns about these two important programs. We will continue to share information as we receive it.
