Describe yourself in three words.
Persistent. Empathetic. Hungry.
What motivates you in your work?
We work on transformative projects with partners of all sizes and scales – from tiny neighborhood churches, to scattered-site housing developments, to multi-acre land assembly projects – and I love that we get to play a part.
What is the best advice you ever received?
It was not advice, but I saw a bumper sticker once that said, “Get Involved: The World is Run by the People Who Show Up.”
What is one thing that people would be surprised to know about you?
I have always wanted to be a back-up singer in a band. I would crumble from the pressure of being out in front, but I still want to be in the spotlight.
What’s playing in your car right now and what’s #1 on your DVR?
I ride a bike to work and I don’t have cable.
What do you do for fun/hobbies?
I play music, read books, cook, and listen to Cleveland Indians games on the radio.
What drew you to work at the Cuyahoga Land Bank?
I first heard about county land banks when I was in graduate school and knew immediately that I wanted to work for one. I want to make a difference in my community and work somewhere that is making a positive, tangible impact.
