Friends, community partners and staff recently gathered to say farewell to Kim Kimlin, Director of Community Stabilization, who retired from service at the Land Bank at the end of July. Kim joined the Land Bank in 2019 and served as the Land Bank’s Chief Operating Officer for several years before transitioning to her current role in 2022 in anticipation of her retirement. Kim has been an integral part of the team, leading efforts to remove blight in distressed communities, including managing the impactful Hardest Hit Funds and the Ohio Department of Development and Cuyahoga County Demolition programs. Eliminating these unsafe and uninhabitable properties has positioned the Land Bank with a clear path for repurposing and future development.
“Kim’s leadership has taken our organization through considerable growth and tremendous achievements during a critical time,” says Gus Frangos, President and General Counsel for the Land Bank. “She brought extensive community development expertise to her role here and has certainly left us well-positioned for continued success.”
We wish Kim a happy, healthy and well-earned retirement.
