Cuyahoga Land Bank website gets facelift, embraces social media: New site is more user friendly, information easier to find

The Cuyahoga County Land Reutilization Corporation (Cuyahoga Land Bank) has given its website, www.cuyahogalandbank.org a facelift geared toward increasing a visitor’s ability to quickly and easily find the information they need. Visitors will now find links on how to buy a renovated home and on how to buy a home that needs to be renovated as well as on how to qualify to do contract work for the Land Bank right on the home page of www.cuyahogalandbank.org.

Visitors can also review up-to-the-minute information and photos of land bank properties in a variety of ways. As before, these databases are updated in real-time so that the information visitors see on www.cuyahogalandbank.org is the most current available.

Furthermore, visitors can now sign up to receive the Land Bank’s e-newsletter, become a Facebook fan, a Twitter follower or watch a YouTube video of the Land Bank’s work, just by following a link off the home page. In the near future, visitors will also be able to follow a blog focused on the human side to land banking – “Making a Difference, Property by Property.”

“We chose to implement these upgrades because we wanted to make sure people can easily find information on our properties and programs and learn about the work that we do just by visiting www.cuyahogalandbank.org,” said Land Bank President Gus Frangos. “Similarly, we’ve made the leap into social media because we recognize the importance of communicating with people in the ways they chose to communicate.”
