About 50 people gathered at the Lakewood Masonic Temple on Wednesday night to talk about some of the key issues facing the city.
Presented by , the community forum hosted several experts on housing and economic development.
Before the four-man panel took the stage, Mayor Summers got the party started with a breakdown of the 2010 census data.
Lakewood is getting more diverse. There are fewer people, but the population is getting younger.
And the number of vacant homes in the city has nearly doubled in the past 10 years.
The forum discussed some of these issues at the “” event on Wednesday. As well as a few other topics — including education and public transportation.
