Forfeiture Redevelopment Opportunities

The Cuyahoga Land Bank is highlighting certain apartment, commercial, and industrial buildings that are listed on the State of Ohio forfeiture list and are shown below. These properties that were subjected to tax foreclosure sale without successful bids. The Cuyahoga Land Bank can inspect, market, and transact properties forfeited to the State of Ohio to interested developers in partnership with the Cuyahoga County Fiscal Officer. When we pass these properties through to a qualified developer the delinquent tax balance is extinguished.

If interested in purchasing one of the properties listed below, please complete a Property Purchaser Application for Redevelopment in its entirety. The application which must include the applicant's current driver license and a $100.00 application fee payable to CCLRC, can be submitted to the address below. Once this application is submitted, the review process will begin. Incomplete applications will not be processed.

Minimum Eligibility Requirements

  1. Applicant must be current on all property taxes for properties owned by the applicant in Cuyahoga County.
  2. Applicant must not own any property in Cuyahoga County with building or health code violations or a history of building or health code violations during applicant's ownership of the property.
  3. Applicant, if not an individual, must be registered to do business in the State of Ohio with the Ohio Secretary of State.
  4. Applicant must not be the owner of any property in Cuyahoga County where repeated criminal activity has occurred during applicant's ownership of the property.
  5. Applicant must not have owned any property in Cuyahoga County that was subject to an order of foreclosure within the last three (3) years.
  6. Applicant represents that it has and will comply with all fair housing and market regulations as applicable.
  7. Applicant represents that it will use the property consistent with current zoning requirements of the applicable local government.

The Cuyahoga Land Bank reserves the right to require additional information, including a financial statement from applicant, as a necessary pre-requisite to further considering an application.
