By the end of the year, Hamilton County and the Port of Greater Cincinnati Development Authority will likely be working together to help redevelop blighted and abandoned residential properties.
The county has created a land bank, the Hamilton County Land Reutilization Corporation, which the port authority is expected to administer. Modeled on Cuyahoga County’s 6-year-old land bank, it will chiefly work to free foreclosed and abandoned residential properties of liens, delinquent taxes and other obligations so they may be redeveloped.
