Describe yourself in three words.
Caring. Helpful. Witty.
What motivates you in your work?
I love getting out and talking with residents about their lives and experiences in their neighborhoods. Their stories inspire me to continue the great work we do to beautify otherwise abandoned properties.
What is the best advice you ever received?
See the beauty. Touch the magic.
What is one thing that people would be surprised to know about you?
I am exceptionally athletic. I was a three-sport captain in high school, playing quarterback, basketball, and baseball. I am currently playing in a competitive co-ed soccer league.
What’s playing in your car right now?
Podcasts! Comedy Bang Bang, Doughboys, and 99% Invisible.
What do you do for fun/hobbies?
I enjoy bicycling, gardening, and kayaking on Lake Erie during sunset with my wife.
What drew you to work at the Cuyahoga Land Bank?
The Cuyahoga Land Bank’s mission was a perfect match with my passion for cities and community. I saw the work that was being done all throughout the county, and I knew that I wanted to join the team and get my feet on the ground (and in my case, in the mud) in order improve the lives of all community members.
