Cuyahoga Land Bank President Gus Frangos explains the need for County Land Banks. The foreclosure crisis created large scale abandonment of properties that continue to deteriorate. These distressed properties lower property values and decrease safety. County Land Banks provide a way to bring these properties back to productive use.
The mission of the Cuyahoga Land Bank is to strategically acquire properties, return them to productive use, reduce blight, increase property values, support community goals and improve the quality of life for county residents.
