Members of the First District Community Relations team are making great progress on the home they are renovating for a mother and her children on Cleveland’s West Side. The Cuyahoga Land Bank provided the home for the volunteer project, which is part of the City Mission’s New Horizons Program. Cuyahoga Valley Career Center (CVCC) high school students and instructors volunteered weeks of their time to complete the installation of all new plumbing and heating in the home. And Team Home Depot is not only generously supplying the paint for the renovation, but their army of volunteers will also paint the interior of the house. The team is hoping to complete renovations for the family to move into the home this summer.
