BROOKLYN, Ohio – The doors of the former Brooklyn library building, vacant for 20 years, will open again soon and bring 20 new jobs and new investment of more than $400,000 to the city.

On March 21 at 10 a.m., the grand opening and ribbon cutting of Loving Cup Kids Academy of Brooklyn will take place at 4476 Ridge Road.

The collaborative effort to transform the former library into a new, privately owned development involved the Cuyahoga County Land Bank, the city of Brooklyn’s Community Improvement Corporation, Cuyahoga County Public Library and ClevelandTech Solutions, LLC.

“I am pleased to welcome the Loving Cup Kids Academy to Brooklyn,” said Brooklyn mayor Richard Balbier. “I am sure they will become a great corporate neighbor within the community. I applaud their efforts in restoring a 20-year-old vacant building and turning it into a child care facility.”

Dr. Anju Agarwal, the new owner of Loving Cup Kids Academy of Brooklyn, is pleased to be part of the community.

“We are thankful to the administration of the city,” said Agarwal. “With their committed efforts, this project came to completion.

The new child care center will be open from 6 a.m. to midnight, Monday through Saturday.
